From the beginning of 2013, the Slovenian economic space gained a new institution that represents an important step forward at achieving better efficiency and competitiveness of the Slovenian economy. The new institution unites under one umbrella agency the most important areas of the Slovenian economy: entrepreneurship, innovation, technology development, investment and tourism. The new agency was formed by joining the JAPTI, STB and TIA; for the Slovenian economy, this means provision of support in a harmonised, transparent and comprehensive manner.
For the first time in the history of our country, the Slovenian economy has at its disposal an institution that unites the key areas for growth, development and promotion of Slovenian companies in the most important target markets.
*At a regular meeting on 25 October 2012, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted a Decision establishing the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for the promotion of entrepreneurship, innovation, development, investment and tourism, shortened to SPIRIT Slovenia, public agency. The new agency, which began operations on 1 January 2013, merges the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments (JAPTI), the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) and the Public Agency for Technological Development of the Republic of Slovenia (TIA).
